Always an adventure

Yesterday really was not one of the best days of my life! First - we got into town to find out the last paycheck we hoped to pick up had been mailed. Luckily we caught it at the post office. Then we found out that Unemployment is going to play games over this latest firing and we have no income for a month - if then. As if that were not enough - we then found out that our landlord had asked the electric co op to put the account in our name - and they wanted $125 or they were turning it off next Tuesday.

The good news is we straightened things out with the landlord and he'll straighten out the co-op. The best news is that he is also going to allow us to stay, even knowing we have no income at all right now.

Of course, we still have no money coming in for food, gas, auto insurance and payments or anything else. We have food, half a tank of gas and a wee tiny bit of money stashed away that might keep us one more week. If no one has sent money or hired one of us for something - anything - I'll head down to Las Cruces, camp in the car, and work day labor for a week or so.

And - we made it into town today only to find the Computer Lab is once again on one hour stints. So I have allllll this work done to upload - and believe me, I want to get some webpages up! - and I'll be lucky to finish this blog entry. I did get just three pages up - at CYO and James photography site.

But meanwhile we are still loving the ranch. Being snowed in is no hardship when that means you can see the coyotes trot through the front yard! And it is so beautiful! We shall overcome.

If you ever had any desire whatsoever to purchase anything at all from my Sex toy shop (and you know it's so much more than just dildos, really) or through the Prank Place link to your left here (Complaint Dept.) now would be a really good time - LOL.

I'm going to rush off and hope that I can get the new Thrifty World Travel uploaded. I had hoped to do a nice long article about the history of Valentine's Day - and I might get it done later today or later this week. Keep your fingers crossed. We have another storm coming in tomorrow, but I hope I can get in Friday for Denny's group interviews and maybe get by and do some Internet work then, as well.

I've got an application in at Comfort Inn for housekeeper and laundry and I really like the boss lady (and I think she likes me) so think good thoughts!

Blessedbe
