YeHAH - we're off to the rodeo!

Happy Cinco de Mayo. Like the midwesterner I am, I wondered why it was a big deal - after all, New Mexico is part of the U.S. I mean, other than that section of the population that is all for ANY reason to party - LOL.

Now that I've read New Mexico; Past and Future (book review at A Demented Pixie on Books) I know that when Mexico gained their Independence, New Mexico was still a part of Mexico. So it stands to reason that this is a very old and traditional celebration here.

So the restaurant is crazy busy. We plan to go to the rodeo today, as well as a "street sale" with merchandise from a number of the fun little shops downtown. Not that we have any money after the computer wiped us out. But. boy am I loving it.

I've been working away all night. You'll easily notice the new articles at Ask Me Anything, but I've also done more of those little website maintenence things such as updated the footer at the bottom of this page so that all my mainstream websites are listed. Actually, not quite all of them, but all that are in a finished enough state to browse. Some more than others!

Maybe I'll have cool rodeo pictures to share tomorrow night! I'll at least have some fun experiences to share.

Meanwhile, you have a wonderful Cinco de Mayo, whether you have a tradition of celebration, or you just take any excuse to party. :)

Blessedbe
