Desert Rain
600 x 800 sunset wallpaper We kicked the cats out of the warehouse. Hani has some - ahem - unpleasent habits regarding where she choses to go potty. Besides, I can't leave the warehouse open all day for them to go in and out when I'm asleep or here at work with James, so they hardly got any time outside. Life in a dark, cold warehouse is not ideal. James spent two days modifying an animal cage we found in the tool shed to be nice and cozy. He even put in a shelf so some could lay up high and others could hide underneath. Hani isn't very happy with me - but it is mainly her fault, so she'll have to deal. The "cat house" is snugged up against our house and should be plenty safe and comfy for them. We brought the "Siamese twins", Puff and Mist, into the house to join Zoey and Pearl. Pearl is predictably pissed, of couse. At least so far Zoey hasn't been as hateful to the kittens as she was to Hani when we tried to bring her inside. Did I tell you we finally got our goldfish? Played phone tag for a week, but finally oru 20 fantail goldfish are home and in the big tank. The first six are now just four in the tank in the mule pen. We never see them, but the tank is noticably cleaner. Once these new guys get a bit larger we'll move them to the livestock tanks. We found some quik-krete in the well house and bought some pretty shiny rocks (like we used for counters when gaming) so we are just waiting for the pond to dry out good to line it. The garden...well, I'm not sure. I went and hoed all that happy, healthy grass out and found one squash, one cucumber, and about four radish plants growing. James thinks maybe I'm not watering it enough. I'll give it a couple more days, then replant and increase the water - see if that helps. I got some computer work done, too, as you can see by the updates above. I hope to get a bit of adult work done tonight and as the week goes on, as well as more clipart. It is really nice to see the email box emptying out as I can write folks and say "hey, I finally did that drawing you wanted". Got to work on some "ask me anything" questions, too...so maybe I should stop yakking and get back to work. Blessedbe Summer Posted: Thursday 10th May 2007, 3:16 AM Back to the Blog |
