I can't believe it is already Friday. To tell you the truth, I haven't a damn thing to share as far as new webpages or art, or stories, or even a new page up on the novel.
It has been a really rough week since we got some very disturbing news back last Saturday night. It seemed we were in very real danger of losing our home on almost no notice at all.
It was Monday, of course, before we could find anything out of any kind. The news was good - couldn't be much better. We are secure here for the foreseeable future. But, of course, what happened is we all collapsed in relief and slept for two days. LOL.
And then I had to spend a day in town running errands and doing dumb, but fun stuff.
I did make time to visit a hot spring for a soak. Since the Las Palomas is closed for some time, I decided I should try someplace new. I settled on the Hay-Yo-Kay Hot Springs. I am so glad I did. I had a really wonderful time. The attendant was friendly and attentive. The spring was wonderfully hot, the natural artesian type that I like best and enclosed in a lovely private room. The styling was very southwestern and cozy. It was just a tiny bit higher priced, $8 for a half hour soak, with towel, and a bottle of water. The pool was a bit smaller and more shallow than my favorites over at Las Palomas - although they also have pools smaller than the one I soaked in at Hay-Yo-Kay.
I also took some time to go birding at the park along the banks of the Rio Grande, and got a few photos, too. The Naturalist Notebook was one of the few things I got done this week - it desperately needed an update. Since I got to bird a bit at the park it will soon have a nice long entry, too.
I've moseyed around and gained some nice badges and widgets to add to the sidebar here today. Pearl, MYST, and Zoey joined Caster.com and Pearl was chosen for the Daily Diary Top Picks! Once again, Pearlie is Internet famous! Drop by and give her a treat ;)
I have some things to add to the Vegetarian Blog and LeFey, too, so you might drop by and see if I found the time before menfolks came in and disrupted what little I can get done ;)
Today seemed to be a day for wonderful videos. I have four I'd really like to share. One that touched my heart, two that made me laugh out loud, and one that is just irresistible. So, enjoy the videos and I promise I will get more creative type work done this week.
