I am Pagan Teaching Stories For thousands of years the people of the earth shared learning, wisdom, and kept their history through oral traditions story telling. This became especially important to the pagan religions with the rise of Christianity. Christian missionaries were systematically taught to destroy any material sign of any other religion. What they could not destroy they demonized or discredited. Yet the oral tradition of the pagan religions carried on, often in secret, sometimes disguised in ?antasy stories. Some peoples managed to hold on to their traditions, and continue passing down their stories. Now we have ?ediscovered this very old custom. Stories from native peoples all over the world are being recorded, written down, treasured for the true gems they are. There are wonderful collections now like the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Stories are how we communicate as people, how we share our lessons. It is a wonderful way to teach young people. Far more effective than preaching rules to them or making them memorize dates. Here are some of my stories, and a few I have gathered around the Internet that are personal favorites. If I have gathered up a story that is copyrighted and should be credited or removed, let me know. And, I hope, soon your stories will be here as well. Sadly, I have had to remove both the "add your story" page, and the message board due to persistent spamming by persons trying to sell drugs and porn. I personally recommend the pagan message board and community at The Cauldron. And enjoy the stories.
