Joshua Broussard has somehow got himself in an odd fix and hopes perhaps a few of you veggie readers can/will help him out. Seems he made some sort of bet and now has to auction off his vegetarianism on eBay. Hey - that's what he tells me. He emailed me, in fact, to ask for help and a link, and to tease me (I think) about the ads for Kobe and Omaha Steaks on the Google ads. And on that subject I can only say, I have a limited amount of control over what they put on here. I've let it ride because I figure it is entirely possible there are some people who visit here who are interested in eating more healthy meals, but who do still eat meat. After all, even if you only replace two meals a week with meatless meals, it is an advance in the right direction.
Meanwhile, I figure the real hardcore vegetarians will just ignore the ads that offend. We're all adults here, right? Mostly?
I know I haven't been around much lately but we've had some changes here. My husband has had some health issues that put him in the hospital. The doctor has (get this) put him on a STRICTLY vegetarian diet from now on. (please disregard the snickers from my side of the bed) However, a number of foods that are staples to us, such as beans and peas, were also added to his "foods to avoid" list. So I've been working hard the last week to cook some goodies for him to convince him all is not lost and there are still good things to eat that he CAN have. As we test drive new recipes, I'll share them with you. Expect to see more raw food ideas and fruit dishes, I think.
Happy eating!
