Recommended reading

This article was brought to my attention by the author. It is a very well written, well reasoned reply to much of the more obnoxious comments vegetarians hear every day - although this is in specific response to a controversy going on over a news story about Vegan parents who starved their baby to death.

Like the vegetarian man hospitalized in France for malnutrition, it is obvious to anyone with common sense who pays attention to more than the sensationalism that the problem is not vegan or vegetarianism, but additional habits of the people involved in the situation. But it makes for good headlines, I guess.

Millions Live Healthy Vegetarian Lifestyle just doesn't have the same ring to it - doesn't sell all those scandal sheets ;) or keep the Internet boards buzzing. :P
