Good advice about cooking from an unusual source

Lifehack.org generally shares articles on making your life more efficent, so you have more time to enjoy the simple things. Most people wouldn't think about cooking advice in that context - but Lifehack makes some very salient points when they point out that cooking can take less time than picking up some junk fast food - and leave you feeling more energized and better able to get things done. Not to mention the bit of meditative time that cooking creates.

Speaking for myself, I enjoy being absorbed in the moment of cutting up vegetables, sautee'ing spices, the scent of onions carmelizing or cookies baking. A few minutes away from the computer to fix and enjoy a simple meal can be rejuvenating for the mind. Now there's an item for my list of simple pleasures!

I was going to share the recipe for the yummy quiche I made yesterday, but I'm going to point you at 9 reasons Cooking advice belongs on a productivity blog instead. I'll tell you about the quiche tomorrow ;)

Good eating!
